HIV/AIDS should not be considered an epidemic among specific group of people. Many children are affected by their parents who are seriously ill or died of AIDS and become a social problem of being single family or orphan in need of help.

The Society for AIDS Care plans to visit numerous of AIDS groups in Henan Province this summer to organize “Sunshine Volunteering Action”. Recently, SAC social worker calls for sending our faraway blessing and care to these vulnerable, helpless children by making fingerprint bookmarks among our members. The quick and easy procedure of fingerprint bookmark allows members with different ability to participate as volunteer aiming to help them to help others even he is not capable to come to Centre because of his poor health.

Henan Province is one of the higher HIV/AIDS infected regions in China. According to the minutes of the government of Henan Province in December 2009, a total of 45,649 cases of HIV including 25,760 AIDS cases were reported until October 31, 2009. The official statistics showed that the province government had settled 3,384 children who were affected by AIDS in 2007.
