Sharing Love Workshop – Handmade Mosquito Repellent Balm

On 12 July 2025 (Saturday), the “Sharing Love Workshop – Handmade Mosquito Repellent Balm” was held at the SAC center. Guided by our professional social worker, participants learned how to melt beeswax and blend essential oils to create their own natural balm. The hands-on process not only brought joy to our participants but also gave them a chance to share love with families affected by HIV/AIDS by including a heartful note in each balm package.

SAC Health Talk Series 2025

On May 17, SAC held a health seminar titled "Holistic Senior Wellness." We were honored to invite Dr. Ng Siu-tim, a specialist in infectious diseases from the Special Preventive Programme, Department of Health, as our guest speaker. Dr. Ng shared the information of the comprehensive management of HIV, highlighting how antiretroviral therapy suppresses viral load to achieve U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable), and stressed the importance of managing comorbidities, mental health, and vaccinations to support healthy aging. The seminar was lively, with active discussions fostering greater understanding and acceptance of HIV.

SAC Health Talk Series 2025

On 26th April, SAC held a health talk themed "HIV and Hepatitis Co-Infection”. We were honored to invite Dr. Alicia Lau, a specialist in Infectious Disease in Princess Margaret Hospital, as our guest speaker. Dr. Lau provided attendees with detailed information on the prevention and treatment of hepatitis. She introduced the functions of the liver, followed by the classification, cause, modes of transmission of hepatitis, and potential complications of chronic hepatitis. Additionally, Dr. Lau elaborated on the treatment approaches, follow-up care, and precautions for various types of hepatitis, as well as how to prevent hepatitis.
